Intuit and OpenAI join forces on new AI-powered experiences

OpenAI and Intuit have entered a multi-year strategic partnership that will bring new Intuit app experiences in ChatGPT and, under a new $100M+ agreement, deepen Intuit’s use of OpenAI’s frontier models to accelerate its AI-driven expert platform strategy. Intuit is the global financial technology platform behind TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp.

With this partnership, Intuit will deepen its use of OpenAI’s frontier models to support a range of critical use cases on Intuit’s platform. It builds on Intuit’s decade of investment in data, AI, and deep financial technology expertise, expanding how the company delivers personalized, AI-driven experiences with greater speed and scale.

OpenAI’s models will help power select Intuit AI agents across its products—supporting tasks that can include cash-flow forecasting, tax preparation, and payroll management—under Intuit’s established privacy, security, and responsible AI safeguards. Intuit will also continue to leverage ChatGPT Enterprise across the company, helping employees further improve their productivity.

“Intuit’s AI-powered financial platform helps millions of people manage their finances and run their businesses,” said Fidji Simo, CEO of Applications at OpenAI. “This partnership combines our most advanced models and global scale with Intuit's platform capabilities to help everyone make smarter financial decisions and build more secure futures.”

## Intuit app experiences soon available directly within ChatGPT

Through the partnership, Intuit apps will soon be available directly within ChatGPT, enabling users to take secure, personalized financial actions through these apps, which can be accessed in the ChatGPT experience, by bringing together Intuit’s proprietary financial data and AI platform capabilities with OpenAI’s scale and frontier models.

“We are taking a massive step forward to fuel financial success for consumers and businesses, unlocking growth for both companies,” said Sasan Goodarzi, CEO of Intuit. “Our partnership combines the power of Intuit’s proprietary financial data, credit models, and AI platform capabilities with OpenAI’s scale and frontier models to give users the financial advantage they need to prosper.”

Consumers will soon be able to get personalized insights and take action with Intuit apps within ChatGPT—empowering them to make smarter financial choices. This will include helping people discover the right credit products based on their personal financial profile, receiving more precise answers to tax questions, estimating tax refunds, connecting with tax experts, and taking steps to improve their financial position.

For businesses, Intuit’s apps will surface tailored insights to improve cash flow, automate follow-ups, and reach customers more effectively through email marketing, all powered by real-time business data. The partnership is designed to empower businesses to increase revenue and profitability based on their real-time business data with more personalized insights and less effort.
